The wonder of being a slave, as you put it, isn’t that we serve when it suits us but rather that we serve always.

Will your makeup/beauty tips eventually be available on subguide? I may end up getting knocked for this, but I think in this age of “girl power”, the old fashioned things like proper makeup application are becoming forgotten. I’ve been wanting to learn how to do makeup for ages, but all the women around me just put on lipstick and mascara and call themselves done up.

I don’t have any makeup tips as I am not all that good with it myself, but I can give you some tips for staying warm in the winter while wearing skirts.

It can get pretty cold here in Calgary, but I have found that warm flowing (think A line) skirts are warmer than closer fitting ones. I buy skirts made from wool blends, corduroy and heavier denim for winter wear. Go for longer skirts, and possibly consider a slip/petticoat underneath. Also thick wooly tights or stockings (I buy mine from http://www.sockdreams.com) helps. And a long warm coat. I also wear ugg type boots on my feet as that helps keep them warm.

re: skirts in cold weather, although i don’t think it gets as cold in the uk as it does in Iowa, i can certainly echo what Taja said about A Line skirts. Think in terms of layers – that’s what the women wore a few hundred years ago, even in cold climes. if you want to experiment, try wearing one skirt ontop of the other – you can either wear the longer one on the outside or the shorter one on the outside, if they match and would look like a pretty hem. If i remember correctly you have a sewing machine, yes? A petticoat would be pretty easy to run up – just a simple tube with an elasticated waist wouldn’t be too hard or expensive to make. What you could do too is to add some layers to the petticoat – a couple of layers of frills, for example, if you have a full length petticoat, you can add one layer of frill (just a long strip of material, longer than the skirt is around, hemmed, hand sew rough running stitches along the long side, then pull, so its rucked together a bit, until it fits around the skirt. make sure the frilly bits are evenly spaced out then pin in place, and sew. You’re probably best to do this *before* you make up the petticoat) about 8-10 inches up from the bottom, 10 inches long, then another layer about 20 inches up from the bottom, 20 inches long, so that they all have the same hemline – or, if you have a particularly pretty lacey edge and you want that to be seen, you could stagger them. I think in the old days they would do many many layers that way, all attached to the one petticoat. and together with some stockings or tights, i think you’d be plenty warm enough – especially if you had some cute lace up victorian style boots, with a small heel.. it’d look so pretty! I’m sure there are some better websites on sewing showing what i mean out there.

As for make up: go for it – i always feel better when i wear make up, but also remember that sometimes, just sometimes, less is more… :)

Find a Mary Kay Consultant in your area. They will sit with you, find your colors and teach you the techniques-for free. You can return or exchange anything that isn’t working for you. (I used to sell it. I don’t sell any more, but its the only makeup i use) If you can’t find one in your area, tell me where you are and I will help you.

Go to Dillards to the Clinche or Estalauder counter. Both are great products for sensitive skin and they will teach you how to put it on as well.

For make up, I’m not the best but what I use for eyes is colors that really make your eye color pop. For example, my eyes are very light in color, unless I’m very sad they usually have a very silvery tint to them. (My eyes change color according to my mood.) I use darker colors like dark purple when they’re silver green as it really makes them pop, and brings out the green. When they’re more grayish I’ll use a charcoal color. I’ve found that the contract helps bring attention to the eyes, which is usually what you want. I also use a dark eye liner, and often use sparkles/glitter to pull attention up there as well. I like to use the glitter/sparkles on days I’m feeling off, as it’s just very cheerful LOL

And also living in the upper midwest, the above mentioned suggestions about skirts are spot on! :)

    Luna,

I just make my makeup dark and sexy……My Master prefers this on days when he wants me as his whore………I have many colors, but my eyes are green and change from blue to green, so the colors depend.

It is hard to know how to put it on. I use old school…dark outline….then two colors, one inside the eye one outside and then top it with a lighter or whiter shade. I noticed last night on the Miss America pagent, all the girls had theres like that, or similar.

The eyes are the mirror to our soul, so we want everyone to gaze into them….to see the real person we are.

It would be cool for you to put something together in subguide…..a simple how to…I have also watched u-tube of woman applying to get ideas.

I think you are very beautiful…but understand that we all have “our” days of feeling ugly, or off.

Just remember your Master is the judge and he would not be with an ugly woman…….You soul is beautiful, just pull from that beauty.

i found a free pdf file for a petticoat pattern, http://www.theanticraft.com/archive/imbolc07/petticoat.htm

it is a simple pattern. i went looking for fabric for myself because i can not wear a polyester slip. the fabric runs about15$ for 3 yards(this all depends on what you want and where …this was at walmart) i have a very limited budget. i also found a beautiful flannel sheet(for 1.50$) at the good will that will make a wonderful petticoat for winter. My Master has a preference for skirts and dresses , year round, which i happen to like as well. so a flannel petticoat will be yummy warm.

Make up…your two pictures you show up the top…you are prettiest with the red sweater…color suits you well:)
