These kind of questions, the “How open are you about your lifestyle that is alternative to mine with your family/friends/neighbors/coworkers?” always bugs me. I always want to ask back: “Well, how open are you about your private life, your sex life, with your family/friends/neighbors/coworkers?”
It’s no different. But somehow people think that because your private life is alternative to theirs that it what defines you, even though theirs does not define them.
Point being, to us our private life is normal, and we treat it just as others treat theirs, very few getting a glimpse inside of it.
So I agree, those last couple questions are silly.
