I’m so glad you’ve discovered what might be going on for you. Its good to have answers you can work with and make yourself feel better. I’m sure that once you start the cynthroid, you’ll start to feel much better. Not fun to make medicine…but its just one pill thankfully and it will make life better. YOu’ll likely loose weight without changing your diet at all at first, you’ll have more energy and you’ll feel more stable mood wise too I’m sure. Its hard to feel upbeat when your body isn’t working properly. I”m very happy for you! Blessings Luna

I am so glad you finally got diagnosed and now on meds. I know you aren’t happy about taking meds but hey it beats the hell out of the alternative (ie feeling like shit). Here is to better health!

I take synthroid for my thyroid problems and it helps a lot. I’m glad that they finally figured something out and hope that things will start to turn around for you.

    Luna,
I regret hearing about your thyroid disorder, my mother has hypothyroidism and it makes it really
difficult for her to lose weight. Hopefully you feel better soon though while taking Synthroid.

    Luna,

I had my thyroid removed over 7 years ago due to cancer. The previous year, I was exhibiting all sorts of symptoms, but just kept getting told they were hormone related. Well, turns out they were, our thyroids have alot to do with our hormones. In any case, I now take Levoxyl (Sythroid generic) everyday. It is a bummer having to be on medication all of the time, but I do feel sooo much better. You might be surprised at the differences this makes. Just a few things though…take it on an empty stomach, do not take it at the same time as any calcium supplements, give it a month or more to build up in your system, it may take a few months to get your levels right.

Good luck, hope you feel better. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. I know I’m not a doctor, but there was alot no one told me and I had to research on my own.

    Alice
