Sounds like a great plan with all the testing and seeing the dietician… I bet soon you’ll have some much needed answers and some sense of better and more positive things to come too! Crossing my fingers for you that you find out what you need to – and get the treatment and help you feel better – physically and emotionally!

Good luck with the doctor and the new exercise regime! I hope it can get you on track and feeling better.

I know you’ve mentioned that you’ve had an on-and-off problem with depression, so I’m probably not telling you anything you don’t know, but just a reminder that one of the unfortunate side-effects of anti-depressants can be that they kill the sex drive. I think Wellbutrin is one of the few that is less likely to cause that problem. I’ve taken anti-depressants before, so I faced this, too. As my doctor put it, “Would you rather have no sex drive *and* be depressed, or have no sex drive and *not* be depressed?” I went for the no depressed option!

Okay, I know from experience that the “five-days-a-week-for-one-hour-a-day” goal can be intimidating. Keep it as a goal but please remember: *Any* exercise is better than no exercise, regardless of the duration or intensity. Even if you’re not seeing visible results, you’re still increasing your level of health and getting in the habit. So please don’t give up if you can’t get to the top of the mountain right away.

I know from personal experience that you can see tremendous results very quickly if you just stick with it. In only three weeks and seven rides I’ve gone from riding four miles with great difficulty and several stops to, today, riding over six miles with only a single brief stop. I’m feeling it in my thighs, but Master tells me it’s a good pain. I’d rather have the pain of flogging, but I guess this is good! LOL

how is the workout going? Are you still on Sparkpeople?

I feel the same way. I keep losing and gaining, losing and gaining. My bennies from the new job kick in and I am going to talk to a doctor about finding a medically supervised plan.

I think that you asking your Master to exercise with you is a great idea, as I know for me when I go to the gym I usually go with a friend and we help motivate each other.

I do hope that the test results will come out good.

    :)
