If I could make time go backward,
I would erase the words you heard.
If I could do it all again,
I would do it differently.
Nothing would be the same.
The first time always hurts.
It never gets easier,
Hoping you’ll say what I want
Always wishing you could do it all again.
Never knowing how bad it hurts.
Knowing forever that you can’t go back
To the pain and the doubt
It’s lost forever as we head into the future.
