Working for a living

I got news today that I will be starting work full time on a trial basis before the end of this month. I can’t wait! This is the news I have been anticipating for 2 months now, finally just one more hurdle and it will happen. Thank goodness! With the added hours will come more work, but I am ready for it. I feel that I will finally be able to get done what I need to and help out my counterpart in Madison remotely. She has been swamped with more then 3 times the machines that I have to manage. I’ll be glad to be of service to her. I may be having my hours shift a bit, and that could mean sleeping in an hour. No more getting up at 4am! Boy would that be a treat! Of course that also means staying up an extra bit too.

I’m on day for of my newly revitalized diet exercise plan and I think I’m doing pretty good. It’s all about being attentive all the time, always aware of what you are eating and what activities you are doing. Master is very encouraging and I feel this will be my best year yet when I stand on the scale next December. I just did 30 mins of toning and I feel all achy; what I good thing!

My other resolutions are still sputtering. I’m doing a tiny bit better with the speech to Master and I’d be more sexually available if monthly visitor wasn’t here. I’m still trying to work in a bedtime routine but I have one written up, so it’s a start. Things should begin to fall into place soon.

I’ve been doing a lot more reading recently. I pulled out my Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. I’ve not read them in 3 years and I love them, so I’m starting. I’m the 2nd book, which should be done this weekend, then on to book 3. The Vampire Lestat and Blood and Gold are probably my favorite ones, but I have to say they shift and change each time I read them through so perhaps it just depends on what is going on in my life at the time that I read them. I also have a few literary collections (volumes of more than one book bound together) that I got from my dad for Christmas that I’m sure I will get to at some point after Anne Rice. I am also anticipating the new Harry Potter book which should come out sometime in the future; perhaps this year.

I’ve come to a point where I don’t know what to write anymore that isn’t just a chronicle of my days. I haven’t any submissive thoughts to ponder or places in my life that I’d like to sift through right now. That’s not to say that I don’t have things I can’t be working on, I just have so much more on my plate right now. I feel that I may let myself down if I add more to my list.

The joys of working for a living. You never have time to not think. But that can be a good thing. Thinking can potentially cause me to worry, stress, and fuss about things I have no control over; something I am likely to do anyhow but being busy keeps it at bay. You never know when the worry will strike you. I am constantly battling that. Master says that I will probably always worry and that even if we were living in the comfortable surroundings with plenty of money to live on I would find something to worry about. I agree. This is something I’d like to change, but I just don’t know how. I am a worry-wart. Always have been.
